A bright addition to any concert stage, Kelsey Linnett is known for her effortless precision. She sings everything from plainchant, Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical to 20th Century and contemporary repertoire. She has performed regularly with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus and American Bach Soloists, and also delights in performing with small choral ensembles and as a soloist.
Born in Oakland, California, Ms. Linnett has spent a lifetime dedicated to her craft. She started performing in musical theater at age 4 and, at age 11, starred as Pearl in the premiere of Marin Herman’s “The Scarlet Letter” with the Berkeley Contemporary Opera. She graduated from the San Francisco Girls Chorus.
While studying linguistics at Yale University, Ms. Linnett began her career as an accomplished church musician. She has sung professionally at the top liturgical music programs in New Haven, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. She currently sings at the Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland.
Ms. Linnett works as an attorney in state government and lives in a tiny house with her piano, husband, and three kids.
